In the last 12 days, here’s a list of Donald Trump’s rallies and press conferences by state:
Michigan: 0
Pennsylvania: 0
Wisconsin: 0
Arizona: 0
Nevada: 0
Georgia: 0
North Carolina: 1
Florida: 1 (presser)
New Jersey: 1 (presser)
Montana: 1
Kamala’s in that span:
Michigan: 2
Pennsylvania: 1
Wisconsin: 1
Arizona: 1
Nevada: 1
So that’s 6 rallies to 2, and 6 swing state rallies to 1 - and it’s like the least important swing state.
My guess is that Trump doesn’t want to do outside events with clear sightlines since the assassination attempt, and is having trouble finding indoor venues in swing states that he hasn’t already stiffed in areas he can draw a big crowd.
By comparison, Trump in 2016 during these dates held 11 rallies - 2 in PA, 2 in FL, 2 in NC, 1 in WI, 1 in ME, 1 in IA, 1 in NH, 1 in CT.

How many of those states have Trump golf courses?
Looks like all of the ones he visited but Montana. And it looks like Pennsylvania is the only other swing state with a Trump golf course, so I assume he’ll visit there next.
Yeah pretty sure the pressers were at Mar a Lago and Bedminster. He’s left his home/vacation home only twice for campaign rallies in 12 days.

The real question is why did he visit Montana? There’s no way he did it to help their Senate candidate. He doesn’t give a shit about anyone else. There had to have been something in it for him.
I think he had a private fundraiser there and tacked on a campaign event.
The If Books Could Kill episode on the retail crime panic (might be a premium ep, maybe a year ago) did a really good debunking of this, I think the important points are something like
- there is already a monetary limit that defines the difference between misdemeanor theft and felony theft
- California raised their limit from a lower number to a higher one
- Many states in the U.S. (incl. red ones, I think) still have a higher limit than California’s, so California isn’t even an outlier here
This all got credibly reported in the media as “California just legalized theft up to $XXX”
