I mean, we’re not in a cult of personality like Trumpers. Doesn’t that explain most of it? Also like 75% of the country didn’t watch the debate and had to hear secondhand.
It would explain it if dems tried and it failed. Instead they don’t even really try
Ok I’m shook for first time election cycle, I thought they had talked some sense into him. Will say he does have quite a history during presidency of responding to pressure but guessing all bets about that are off given this an existential type issue.
Totally the guy you want being leaned on for bet the Republic decisions:
If you want to be in a personality cult, you’re in the wrong party.
No pressers and just the one major TV interview, which is pre-taped and airing days later… He doesn’t have it in him and they know it. They skipped the obvious moves (immediate long presser, major TV interviews - preferably live) for too little, too late.
Part of the issue is all the people around him are personally incentivized to tell him to keep going.

No one is yearning for a cult of personality on the democrats ffs.
The travel was TWELVE DAYS before the debate. And no I’ve never “been there.”

Outright lie, the “elites” continually underestimate Trump’s strength. You yourself were 1000% sure he would never, ever win the 2016 R primary in the first instance.
You didn’t read something correctly, this is irrelevant
No, I read perfectly fine. It’s just outright false and insulting to the intelligence of anyone who has lived through the past 10 years to claim that the “elites” refuse to attack Trump for his scandals because they just preemptively assume he will be Teflon.
CN, Trump can’t be forced out because his party will never turn on him. If you want more media coverage of that, fair enough. But everyone knows the dynamic and the people who care care, the others don’t. That’s how it is. But Dems circling the wagons the same way for Biden would be the behavior of a cult of personality.
You don’t need his party to turn on him. The point of calling him to resign, to build a drumbeat of him not being qualified is not to get his party to actually have him resign. The goal is to chip away at his credibility as a candidate and with moderates.

It’s literally being argued in this thread right now along side your posts, and it has literally been true for the past several years.
That’s fine, but I don’t think it would move the needle much and also that’s not Dems issue, it’s the media. They talk about it constantly.
The media is the dems issue. The dems passiveness with the media is exactly their issue. They have to demand their own narratives and make the noise to have it happen.
In general I agree, I don’t think that’s the case on this issue.
Stancils frustration, which I share, is that more Democrats have called on Biden to resign than Trump. He believes, as do I, that this creates a massive problem.
You say something like this can’t be pushed aside, but republicans push worse away every other week by coalescing and refusing to be victims to a narrative
Democrats literally held impeachment trials for Trump. Acting like they’re silent on whether he should be running for president is bullshit.
