A couple things:
This error impacts only state and local elections. All these voters will still be eligible to vote in federal contests, including for President.
More importantly, AZ is still one of the only states that requires proof of citizenship to register. In almost all states, you simply “attest” under penalty of perjury that you are a citizen. Why doesn’t PA require it? That’s 9 million voters who might be illegal! What about Texas? 17 million!
Everybody knows this is a solution for a non-existent problem. The House actually passed a nationwide proof-of-citizenship bill a couple of months ago. Nobody really paid attention because it’s stupid and obviously doa in the Senate.
All public-facing democrats must have a vigorous and unified response to all the nonsense about “illegals” voting. There are multiple layers of checks and balances and it happens so rarely it’s inconsequential. To the first approximation it simply doesn’t happen, especially in AZ.
