Like at some level high workload quasi- apprenticeship type entry level stuff has been standard forever whether its medicine, judges clerks, trades, knights squire, etc but there an expectation that you actually learning valuable enough skills to compensate for the low salary.

He’s lasted way longer than the average person on hospice. Way way longer. I can’t imagine he has much longer. I’m amazed he was able to be taken to the funeral and also amazed that he was apparently with it enough to express that he wanted to go to the funeral.
Legitimately everyone I know who has gone on hospice (and unfortunately that number keeps going up) has been dead within a week.
