Dems should definitely try to get an A list musical performance each night just for the eyeballs… Eminem and Kendrick each do a Trump diss, Taylor Swift can perform, maybe the final night Bruce Springsteen covers The Times They Are A Changin, then Beyonce rises up in the middle of the stage and Bruce walks over and hands her the mic and walks off, Bey performs Freedom, and Kamala enters to give her speech. Who says no?

I think some of the excitement for her is the contrast with Biden. It’s entirely possible that this working out like this instead of her being the announced dem favorite a year ago is the best possible scenario.

Saw a fun conspiracy post on threads suggesting Biden’s campaign was a red herring all along. 
Obviously, it’s hard to believe, but it’s also hard to imagine this playing out any better from a galvanizing the base and youth standpoint or from a timing perspective. Let Donald Trump and the GOP shoot their best shots at the convention only to pull out the rug and unleash what feels like the Obama 2008 campaign in a sprint to the finish.

hopefully both parties will see that this sort of thing is WAY more engaging than the status quo from like 1976-2020 where the election cycle is basically 4 years long and just totally numbs everyone. The recent UK election campaign was SIX WEEKS and it’s FINE. Of course this will put a bunch of dipshit consultants out of work so it will never happen.
