Yea I agree with this. I think it’s as much the moment, the contrast and relief that we have someone other than an 80+ year old candidate to pit against Trump, and the swing from despair to hope, as it is Kamala herself. But maybe I’m just selling her short.
I gotta say there really is no really good clippable negative content to throw at her despite having a multi decade public political career. Kind of crazy. Look how much there is on JD Vance already, absolutely crazy.
Is there a widely expected % attributed to incumbent advantage? Wonder what % of that is just not having to get trashed in the primary and then convince the folks who you were trashing to jump on board

Donald Trump thinks there are black jobs and white jobs, male jobs and female jobs, and anytime a white male job goes to someone else it’s DEI, and anytime a woman gets a male job it must have involved sexual favors. He thinks the presidency and the vice presidency are white male jobs, but the reality is the most popular president of the last 20 years was a black man and the most popular president of the next 20 years is going to be a black woman… And just because the only way he can get any is by sexually assaulting women and leveraging his power and money doesn’t mean the rest of us are out here trading jobs for sex, so he can take that nonsense and file it away with the rest of what I like to call HIS dei… Dumb, evil, and ignorant.
