The calls for Trump to be impeached were there throughout his first term and it happened multiple times.
The calls for Trump to be prosecuted have been there in the years since he lost. He has been prosecuted on several fronts, but lol law doesn’t apply to rich and powerful white males.
Ultimately Trump has escaped worse because he excites his base. He gives them a message that they are excited to go out and vote for.
We have excused plenty of faults from Biden over his 3 1/2 years. I personally have defended and argued for him for much of that time. What has changed for many of us is that it is now clear that he cannot deliver a winning message. He is not going to be capable of exciting the base and driving voters to the polls. To put it succinctly, he is going to lose.
I actually believe this election is incredibly important. The costs of losing are going to be extreme. Project 2025 is terrifying. I believe backing Biden is a huge mistake here. I believe that the entire democratic establishment and centrist dem voters are not responding with the level of urgency the moment demands. Nothing other than putting out the absolute best ticket possible is acceptable in the current moment. And every argument that doesn’t focus solely on this fact is an act that runs counter to delivering a positive future for our country.

OK but it’s very very clear at this point that he doesn’t still got it. If he did he would have already handled all the doubt through a series of good performances to drown out the bad one. It’s not just that he lost a debate it’s that since losing the debate he’s been unwilling to do the bare minimum to show proof of life, which is to show up to the rather large damage control assignment he created when he had a senior moment at the debate.
