Yeah we should absolutely want another debate, but not at Fox. Heck because Trump (if he were a normal political candidate who could come back from it) needs it more we should use the leverage to really screw him.

Grunching, just finished the debate on a delay.
My quick reaction and conclusions:
- After a slightly shaky start, Harris turned it into an absolute massacre.
- I’m not sure it will make any difference.
There were answers that could have been better, but how the media covers it over the next couple of days will be critical.
Looking forward to catching up on this thread.

My 65 year old housemate says she never votes but is going to throw one behind Kamala this time. She couldn’t believe the shit Trump said in the debate, particularly the part about Harris "deciding ’ she is Black.
My other 62 year old housemate says he dgaf if every man votes for Trump, as long as every woman votes for Kamala he’ll get curb stomped.
So n=2 but the debate had a big impact on two of our elders.

I’m always ready for the NYT to let me down but I feel like there’s been so much focus on their fuckery lately that they’re kinda in a bind; Trump’s performance was unspinnable, and they’re under extra pressure to describe it as it happened.
