2024 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION

Big day today. Really hope they managed to keep Kamala away from whatever upper respiratory cold seems like half country has, feel would be just our luck for her to not be able to speak or something

A little hard to read but this large campaign sign at a suburban Phoenix intersection says:

ARIZONA REPUBLICANS FOR HARRIS

It will be interesting to see how much this affects the election in closer states like Arizona and Florida. I was curious what effects we might have seen in 2022 in states that voted on abortion, and…

  • Montana defeated an anti-abortion ballot measure but had no other relevant statewide elections to compare to
  • Michigan codified abortion rights by a similar but slightly larger margin to Whitmer winning re-election (abortion +13, Whitmer +11)
  • Kansas defeated an anti-abortion measure by 20, but it was on their primary ballot so not as useful for the general election, where Gov. Kelly (D) won re-election by 2 and Sen. Moran (R) won re-election by 23
  • Kentucky defeated an anti-abortion ballot measure in the general election by 5, while Rand Paul won re-election by 24 :harold:

What can we learn from this? I have no idea. But there’s the existing data points. Batshit that a full 30% of Kentucky voters voted for abortion and for Rand Paul.

With Harris priming the pump with those comments on expecting Trump to lie yesterday. Do you all expect her to say “that is a lie” at any point tonight or the surrogates going to hammer the lie button tomorrow? It definitely not an accident she made that comment imho

JoshJohnson on the Daily Show:

All the pundits agree Trump will lose the debate if he says the N-word twice

Just had to explain the cat memes trump is posting to my wife

I’m seeing bundles of pork loins and chicken breast at $2.99/lb.

To be a little fair to the grocers, the above chart would indicate that prices were probably trailing inflation. But still they went above and beyond when they got the chance to raise prices.

MSNBC has some Gen Y/Z tool with a panel of undecided morons. The one lady wrote herself in 2016 and 20202.

The should all be put in a burlap sac, tied shut, and tossed into the river.

I’m watching this on Disney+, wonder if debates getting bigger viewership than 4 years ago due to more viewing options?

I wish there was a Nickelodeon feed like they do for NFL games, it’d be fun to see Trump get slimed or whatever.

Is Disney+ getting the same pregame as everyone? Anchor hitting Trump for calling Harris dumb as a rock

6 minutes before the debate and my father is yelling at me about how dumb it is that Fox News doesn’t get a debate, because he hates all the other networks. WhY wOnT kAmAlA DeBaTe On FoX???

My response was that networks that admit to lying about the news in court filings don’t deserve debates.

BURY HIM KAMALA, DON’T PULL ANY PUNCHES.

I’m sorry you have to watch it with him.

My 5 year old knows Trump is garbage and a liar.

Did they just say you and Trump were elected 4 years ago

Harris seems nervous but I think going to settle in
