What’s the point of view of the Boston Globe? Does anyone know how comprehensive/good their coverage of regular news events is? I know they’ve done some good investigative long form stuff and they had the balls to go after the Catholic Church.

Honestly, I have been pleasantly surprised by the breadth and depth of the Philadelphia Inquirer’s coverage this cycle. May be the ideal WaPo replacement.

It’s probably significantly better for Harris at motivating folks on the left who may be upset about this or that about her as a reminder of the big picture
Are there any papers that make a suitable replacement for national news outside of WaPo/NYT? Like I’d guess any other paper has an order of magnitude fewer reporters working outside their local metro area than those two

I guess what’s funny to me about this is that people are saying this about the Post, but I don’t see people saying this as much about the LA Times. Maybe people think it would be embarrassing for Bezos to retaliate, whereas the LAT guy obviously has no shame and would can them in an instant?
I would guess it’s more because very few people give a shit about the LA Times outside of LA.
It’s this. People are pissed because WaPo made its brand as “the paper of record” and “democracy dies in darkness”. They are the absolute last paper this shit should be tolerated from.
