I bought a 20 year old car. I put a backup camera and wireless car play in and that helps. I’m pretty happy because I didn’t want to spend $50,000 on a car. I’d rather put that money in savings or the mortgage.

That’s really a big part of this. Succumbing to doomerism makes it really hard to argue for progressive politics that have been so successful.
