I’m truly and legitimately sad for my dad, a huge spartan fan. I grew up a spartan fan because of him, and he was always the first to say getting mad about rivalry stuff was dumb. He was happy to wear UM gear to my games, and went to every game despite me very much being a bench warmer.

MSU just getting dunked on by every media outlet right now.

Uhhh Washington hello?

Oh man UNC lost to Virginia???

Michigan 4.7 pts better than the next team (Georgia) in sp+. 6.6 better than OSU, translate to roughly 9 pt favorites for the game

After being a fan of a team accused of stealing signs outside the rules (Astros) I now find all of these stories hilarious because how badly people are at hiding it. Buying 2 single tickets on opposite sides, all in the same name, etc.

It wasn’t that bright of an operation, and started before he was even hired at Michigan. I’d be surprised if they were funding it. If they were, there would be something approaching more severe punishment.

I really don’t think UM has been playing while knowing other teams signals. I religiously go through mgoblog’s UFR (google that to see it, extensive play by play breakdown and analysis of every game) and they don’t run huge specifically timed blitzes or whatever constantly, at all.

Regardless, the article doesn’t actually outline a single rules infraction. People at the game weren’t staffers or a commercial entity, although it sure shits all over the spirit of the rule. NCAA ain’t going to do shit either imo. TV runs this shit now

All this signaling stuff ridiculous in first place, can’t they just put the audio into helmets and be done with all these dudes waving signs around and shit? Like is that really an intrinsic part of college football requiring saving?

I mean he wasn’t doing it not to use it. I’ll wait to see if they pin anything on Harbaugh or whatever, but I doubt this guy was doing it for fun.

“Lack of institutional control” whatever that is -the blanket NCAA term.

Hairball will just head back to the NFL if it gets too hot.

But i cant talk coming from a Masturbate U perspective

TRADITION is of the UTMOST

But he’s some dude. Again he started this before he even worked there.

I was heavily involved in the initial POTRIPPER stuff, and was acutely aware of the later cheating that came to light. I also pay attention to the details of Michigan football here to a detail that is frankly preposterous. They’ve never done anything to make me think they’re stealing signs in some huge numbers. They’re pretty conservative on defense to be frank, and last year they used the run game to a fault. They’ve never had some gadget bullshit just perfectly timed. The best case game for it would have been the OSU game, but OSU already said they changed their signals in 2022

Michigan is clearly guilty but Bert Cooper “Mr. Campbell, who cares?”

Hey our former neighbors father was a WWII radio signal capture guy. They knew the Germans codes so well that they had to send extra bombers to miss on purpose so that the one dead on hit would not be so suspicious. Maybe Michigan is doing that.

Ok, ok, I’ll put down the tinfoil.
