I got it because I do a lot of very sleepy driving after night shifts or after a shift that ends at 3am or whatever.
gg tesla lol
mercedes dont fuck around either
this has to trash their stock right? Their pricing was always about having some good shot at a revolutionary tech⌠and they donât have it.
Of course, their stock price / valuation has always been completely irrational. WHo knows if this is what finally brings it back down to earth.
Seriously thereâs no point in analyzing TSLA in rational terms. If the stock market was in any danger of being efficient Tesla would be worth 1/4-1/3 of Toyota at the absolute max and now despite getting absolutely hammered itâs worth closer to double.
Like 85% of my reasoning behind picking individual stocks instead of etfâs is to not own shit like Tesla. Nobody could look at my portfolio and claim Iâm not as diversified risk wise as someone who owns the ETF, and I would argue thatâs where a lot of my edge comes from⌠simply not owning anything obviously obviously obviously stupid.
Teslaâs stock price is high because they have full faith from the US govt for prolly the next generation. The market isnât going to fuck up valuing a half a trillion dollar company by that much - unless the govt canât help them.
Just a total dummy.
heâs said verbatim pretty much that tsla will live or die on its autonomous driving. Serious competitors that arenât simultaneously trying to go to mars or be the king of moron twitter will do a better job soon. If mercedes is willing to legally stand by autonomous level 3 then his goose is probably cooked. Teslaâs are overengineered and overpriced, imho. Mercedes shit is so good that their chassis are used all over american made cars, for example.
Musk spent his day on the stand confessing today, letâs see how that works out for him.
The irony is Teslaâs having such a huge problem with self driving because he decided to âsimplifyâ things by relying only on cameras and using NNs to process the image to let the car know about its surroundings instead of using LIDAR like pretty much every other company. So the one area Leon Skum didnât overengineer is the area thatâs supposedly key to his companyâs future.
my car uses a mix of cameras and lidar for certain driver assist features. I was driving the other week during a heavy downpour and nothing was working. On a bright sunny day cameras can work fine - I donât know how itâd handle that downpour scenario, or sometimes stretches of road will have no lines for lanes for some reason, etc. Seems way more easily possible to get confused and is a baffling decision. I had assumed for much of the last year they were using LIDAR, I had no idea til recently, because LIDAR is so obviously the solution. The next step is putting stuff on the roadway and signage to assist with this tech. That stuff wouldnât even work with cameras, I think. Not very forward thinking.
Late on seeing this re:Mercedes. So if these companies going to end up footing liability on self driving does this mean the entire car insurance industry is living on borrowed time? (and then eventually personal injury lawyers)
In the sense that âborrowed timeââ means sometime within the next 100 years, then sure.
lol working at Twitter now means being a tech concierge for the dumbest right-wing dipshits on earth
âWe couldnt find anything, but that just means you might be on super secret DOUBLE probation!â
The fact that they couldnât find anything specific PROVES that something nefarious is going on! If it was a simple technical issue they would have found it easily. Do your own research, you snowflake lib.
