GOP Insanity Thread: a bunch of weirdos weirding out

Oh look I remember that way of paying someone off from the Jeff Epstein thing.

Remember when Leon Black paid Jeffrey Epstein (not a lawyer) $158,000,000 and the New York Times reported as fact that the payment was for estate planning advice? LOL NEW YORK TIMES

Anything you say is credible at the NYT if you have enough money. Do you not know the rules of polite society? Calling someone from the ownership class a liar is rude.

I think he’s beating inflation

Seems like his origin story writes itself. Would be worse if he was still a gay porn star while an anti-LGBTQ+ advocate.

That sounds an awful lot like profit for someone.

Super cool that some random small town has to do this to handle the targeted harassment campaign JD launched against his own constituents.

BACK THE BLUE! Unless they’re doing something other than cracking Black skulls!

Pretty typical rural Washington Republican:

Yakima police are accusing Yakima County Coroner Jim Curtice of evidence tampering, making false statements and official misconduct after he falsely maintained for more than two weeks that someone tried to poison him with drugs.

Curtice told Yakima police that an energy drink, his workout energy shake powder and water in an electric tea kettle were spiked with cocaine and fentanyl, and he was taken to the hospital with drugs in his system after sipping a drink.

His claims fell apart after failing a lie detector test, according to a Yakima police report, and he admitted that he had been snorting drugs he obtained from dead bodies in the course of his job for a couple months.

For some reason the local paper does not list his party affiliation, but I checked and he did indeed run for election as a Republican.

Weird

Was just coming here to post this. Even the family values are fake! Imagine faking a family … and then thinking people wouldn’t notice or call you on it.

Posting this example of GOP insanity from Seattle, although I think in this case I’m going to say that the individual involved has less culpability than the insane political environment.

Former doctor who participated in Jan. 6 attack killed in shooting at West Seattle home

Archive link

A Seattle doctor whose medical license was suspended after she participated in the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol was shot and killed after pointing a gun at two people delivering paperwork at her West Seattle home on Tuesday.

Cliffs:

  • She was a good, caring doctor, according to many online comments.

  • She became ill with MS, which included brain lesions.

  • As her critical faculties declined, she fell under the sway of MAGA ideology.

  • Went to J6, decorated her house with QAnon stuff, and acted out in other ways.

  • At some point obtained a shotgun.

  • Fell behind on her house payments and had it auctioned off.

  • When the process servers came, she opened the door with a shotgun (unclear if she “pointed” it or “presented” it) and was shot and killed by one of the servers.

So basically we have a woman with a serious mental illness, who didn’t receive the help and support she needed, was infected with the insanity of Trumpism, and was able to get a gun, resulting in her death. Lovely.

If that’s the timeline

there’s the problem right there

I’m not seeing the problem. Why shouldn’t a good Patriot with diminished mental capacity be able to purchase a weapon?!

Not enough firepower LDO
