On one hand, sure, maybe. Itās not like we know anything.
On the other hand, what about this whole process has suggested that Russia is competent enough to actually do this? Itās not like they have some sort of history of carefully crafted plans, both in their recent and near distant history. Russian militaries have won their battles by a mixture of being a shit ton bigger than everyone theyāve fought and being willing to kill basically every man 12-40 in a war.
That won WW2 and a bunch of conflicts against smaller countries. But it also lost them WW1 to the point where their society collapsed. Itās not like just their military collapsed.
I just canāt buy that Putin or whomever is actually pulling the strings here. It seems far more likely itās just a bunch of idiots in charge.

Just seems insane that portion of an army (I know they Wagner) would just abandon the front to stage a coup in middle of a war.
