Seems like chaos.

Also a perfect spot for some good rumor mongering to spread chaos.

But I’d be more on actual chaos

Por que no los dos?

Here another bizarre plausible deniability, Russia had nothing to do with whatever Wagner does in Africa

——

The Russian state played no role in the Wagner mercenary group’s multimillion-dollar business interests in Africa, the Kremlin said Wednesday.

Spokesman Dmitry Peskov issued the denial after President Vladimir Putin revealed Tuesday that Russia’s state budget “fully financed” Wagner, detailing sums of 86 billion rubles ($1 billion) spent on upkeep and another 110 billion rubles ($1.3 billion) on insurance payouts.

Wagner “had an independent business there [in Africa] and the state had nothing to do with this business,” Peskov told reporters.

Was wondering that too maybe they give their mercenaries life insurance as a benefit??

That’s the best evidence that Ukraine is winning this thing.

So I get that cluster munitions are bad because they leave shells behind, but I’m more than a little confused by the criticism of Ukraine here. For one, Russia has been using cluster ammunition the entire war. Second, Ukraine is making the choice to take on the risk of their own land. It’s not someone else they’re screwing over.

Yeah, if cluster munitions aren’t banned, and they should be, but if they aren’t, then using them on your own land against an invading force that has used them against civilians on your land is the permissible use case

Yeah I think we’re in agreement here that someone defending against a war of annihilation gets a lot more leeway in my judgment of the morality of their behavior than my judgment of the invader.

Yeah, war is hell, but if you don’t want that smoke, try not starting one.

The arguments against Ukraine using cluster munitions range from disingenuous to stupid. When they bring up the specter of potential future deaths and injuries they conveniently ignore that not providing cluster munitions guarantees more Ukrainians including civilians dying every day for who knows how long.

That is in no way a guarantee.

Without cluster munitions Ukraine will have to take more losses capturing Russian defensive positions and will take more time pushing their own cities out of range of Russian cluster munitions.

But don’t forget they can just surrender and hope to only get light genocided.
