Wonder what that means though as seems impossible Ukraine would actually breakthrough to Crimea or amphibiously assault it so it just become some sort of demilitarized no man’s land?

Given how badly things have been going for Ukraine lately you think they’re suddenly going to retake Crimea? Man I want to believe, but seems unlikely.

What are the implications of no air defenses stationed there? Could they now fly planes or drones there that would have been shot down before or would the air defenses in Russia still be able to cover Crimea?

Yeah was wondering about all this.
Obviously currently they not stopping a lot of the missiles targeting Crimea but I’m sure Ukraine would still want their planes to be far away. But if ever got to the point that Russia was mostly using jets for air defense then maybe that would make having f16s a much larger deal?

My hope is that this is a sign they are not able to replace lost S-400 systems fast enough so they are moving them to safer/more important locations. Don’t think it means Ukraine can attack Crimea but it could threaten supplies that go through Crimea towards Kherson even more as that is a supply line already threatened by the loss of transports and navy missile ships.

All these sanctions confuse me seems crazy we could be this far into the war and there new sanctions left to do that would have this impact and also that Russia hadn’t already developed some work around in advance

Yeah if these are so effective then what took so long?

It sure looks like the administrations on both sides of the Atlantic are really looking for a way to allow Russia a soft landing.

Would have guessed two years. Now was the billionaire sub implosion before ir after this?

We might see North Korean troops in occupied Donetsk as early as next month.

are DPRK troops expected to be more or less bumbling than russian troops?

I haven’t been following this very well, but these seem like crazy numbers to me.

Longterm feels like Russia (and Ukraine) economies going to end up in some sort of death spiral without pretty massive immigration. These deaths just mounting with no apparent end
