Dems could have forced him out when he was indicted in 2015, or not backed him in his 2018 re-election bid but instead they basically cleared the primary field for him and the governor and Cory Booker literally stood by his side when he announced his reelection campaign.

If it were the same guy who ran against him in 2018 and I were a NJ voter, I’d vote for the Republican this time (he was pro choice, pro ACA, supports a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants, supports gay marriage). Like this guy Hugin is basically a Democrat who will vote however rich people want on everything fiscal/economic, but (gestures towards Menendez’s pile of gold) what the fuck do we think that was for?
