Just realized I posted the Instrumental Beats thread in the poli section. Any chance that can be moved to the other topics section?
Yep! Done.
Should be done!
Thank you.
Will we get to edit things like that ourselves like we can on Unstuck?
Yeah, it’s a matter of trust levels (more details here) - TL3 users can edit thread titles and categories.
I’ll look later and see if tweaking the parameters to access trust levels is possible, it looks like you need to visit 50 days (out of the last 100) to get TL3? For a longstanding site that makes sense, but for us just starting out that’s an awfully long time.
Excuse me for stating the obvious but I feel like this forum needs a slow pony button, and then preferentially some kind of undertitle badging system that gets leveled up with higher pony levels like the Call of Duty prestige system.
I rarely posted there but the “video game” thread was a great source of info so that would be cool to see continue.
I’m sure there will be one soon. I hope it’s already implied, but everyone should feel free to start threads about subjects that interest them.
To answer my own question from earlier, yeah, all the parameters for trust level acquisition are tweakable. I’ll think about what values for these are reasonable for new members to get to TL3 in a faster timeframe (i.e. maybe 7 days in the first 14 or something instead of 50 out of 100), and then probably extend them over time to eventually reset back to the longer-term Discourse defaults.
On the UP homepage, when I have my view set to categories, I see 9 topics per category. But here I only see 4 topics per category. Is that a setting users can change?
Could you share a screenshot of your homepage? I don’t personally use that view but from what I see, it looks like the UP one
is completely different than ours:
I’m curious what kind of view you see here - that might help me find the right settings. I didn’t see anything obvious on first glance, just a number (defaulting to 20) which I think controls the number of topics in the right-hand column there…
I see this too from an iPhone when I select the “category” view on UP and SPE. It looks like SPE has the default categories shown set to 3 per category and UP has it set to 10 when viewing on mobile. Let me play around.
It looks like this option cannot be changed on the user side. @admin maybe something you can change?
Can we add the Emoji group like the one on UP that makes emojis larger when they’re on their own line if you’re a member of the group?
Yes, got it now. I missed the drop down menus on the profile page.
Thanks, I didn’t realize it was mobile-only and this makes the issue clear. After looking around a bit I still don’t see what settings might control this, I’ll investigate more deeply but it might take awhile.
Can you elaborate? I think this behavior already exists, for example
here is an emoji alone, versus on its own line below
Or is it just that the lone emoji is even bigger?
