I think a thumbs down option could create or worsen existing hostility between posters and therefore I am not sure it‘s a good idea to have one.

A thumbs up/heart when someone wants to agree/+1/lol is fine but if someone wants to voice disagreement they should take the time to give a reason.

Since the change, I find myself accidentally hearting a bunch more posts on my phone. Is the sensitivity increased?
I’m open to the idea, but also sympathetic to the point Louis made that it could be overly negative. In what situations would you want to use it?
Not to my knowledge, though it could be an unintentional effect of the change. Do you have any sense of where you’re pressing that’s causing unintended hearts? Is it always hearts and not other reactions?
Not sure who’s responsible for it, but just wanted say I love the different “like” options.

I think it’s because on my phone the emojis hover over the text if there are several different ones selected. Then there’s less room to swipe to scroll and tapping any shown gives a heart. Not a big deal, though I probably liked some random posts by mistake.
