You know for all we dunk on him over this, I don’t think it’s bad strategy on his part. Like all of the people going, “that was peak COVID you moron!” were never voting for him anyway. Most people aren’t going to do the math to April 2020, they’re just going to imagine what they remember of Trump’s term - and a lot of people have probably blocked out a lot of 2020 because it sucked and was traumatic.
I’m guessing that this strategy is actually getting people to compare 2024 to 2019, and that’s probably working in his favor.
Anyway, doesn’t mean smart people who can do math and employ logic shouldn’t enjoy dunking on it, but just felt hypocritical to not point that out since I’ve dunked on this before and hearted your post.
