Imagine it now… Joe Biden takes the stage at a rally, with his hair dyed jet black and a golden spray tan. Biden basks in adulation for several minutes, dancing to the Village People’s YMCA and gesturing for the crowd to cheer louder. He then opens with a blast of macho rhetoric and bombast, “Do we love Joe Biden? We do, right? I’m the best damn president there’s ever been!”

nobody even mentions that nato doesn’t work by member countries paying the US, dude was literally president for four years and bitched about this the whole time and doesn’t get it. There are defense spending targets, and since trump has left office, defense spending by our euro allies has been pretty much uniformily rising, which is in large part to Joe Biden’s credit.
the biggest thing is that trump is so fucking stupid he can’t even understand that having those allies is a force multiplier even if some of them are spending just a little bit less than they’re “supposed” to. there are some things that he does understand and still champions something else for political reasons, but anything involving multilateral relationships is just way, way too complicated for him to wrap his tiny brain around.
