@commonwealth, I really do think Biden is trying on the loan forgiveness front:

Roberts already said in the opinion that this only applies to dead people and victims of Nigerian student loan scames.

The correct play is to still keep doing it and keep making the Supreme Court knock it down.

yeah this

“how many divisions does John Roberts have?”

I have no idea if that’s good or bad. 39B seems good, but for only 800K borrowers seems bad.

From what I read about this, it was already planned ~a year ago and isn’t necessarily their makeup plan for the recent SCOTUS decision. I think the forgiveness plan that got struck down had like $450B in forgiveness, so this is an ok chunk.

I love the gold scam ad on the screen there

I’ll give his team credit, this is pretty good:

Got this email other day, I had been wondering ever since COVID pause started how whoever was president would eventually try to avoid the heat for loans restarting. Getting it in a law and blaming it on congress actually more savvy from a PR standpoint than I expected. (Although unlike some I’m not entirely convinced Biden was trying to lose on this issue)

As a result of legislation enacted by Congress, the student loan payment pause is ending. Student loan interest will resume Sept. 1, 2023. Payments will be due in October 2023 for most borrowers.

Yea I’m getting emails, but it’s odd, my loan on my report has split up into several smaller installments held by different companies.

Probably missed a critical “set up your account” email somewhere and it’s gonna be a huge pain trying to figure out how to pay. I had it all set up perfectly before.

it’s gonna be great watching all these tucker confusion face .jpg articles genuinely wondering why consumer spending is down these holidays as they turn back on loan payments

An economic slow down is part of the point if not the whole point.

Lol, Darth Brandon strikes again, fuck you Tommy.
