What if there was a Yahoo! Answers but only for techbros? Would it be the worst thing ever? Maybe!

I posted there for about a year in 2018 because they had the poor decision making to include a “politics” section. That section was comprised mostly of white techbros and Indian H1B holders.

They did not like me would be a bit of an understatement.

in any sane universe habs would have already been ostracized from civilization but this new information won’t even be a blip on her professional reputation

Of course.

Maggie Habes reporting on the trial where she is getting caught taking marching orders from Trump ought to be the end of the NYT as a serious paper for adults. Looking forward to lots of “Biden is old!” stories this week.

Screenshot of headline cause I’m not going to click the link:

We’ve shrugged off a Justice being gifted vehicles and vacations then hearing cases involving the donor. The only thing this headline does is feeds the shitlib fantasy that there are any ethical rules left to violate.

This is something that has pissed me off with coverage of this bankruptcy story. Every single fucking media headline dutifully reporting that red lobster is declaring bankruptcy because of their all you can eat shrimp deal, when it literally had ZERO impact on them declaring bankruptcy.

It’s because nobody wants to cover the actual story here, that this is just another example of a private equity company destroying a business with a leveraged buyout. Doing so would put them in the uncomfortable position of covering the fact that these companies literally profit off of driving functioning businesses into bankruptcy, but stripping every dollar out of the company for their personal gains first.

Literally just had a friend text me did you see this story that red lobster went bankrupt because of endless shrimp? :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Every major media source dutifully reporting that headline. Our only hope for real journalism is… checks notes… eater.com

Matt Levine wrote about this yesterday and noted the conflicts of interest, in that Red Lobster was forced to run the unlimited shrimp promo and buy that unlimited shrimp from…its parent company!
