For whatever it’s worth, Biden never said he’d specifically pick a black woman for VP. He did commit to nominating a black woman to SCOTUS if given the opportunity.

It’s been like 3 days and already have had several polls more optimistic than overall Biden trend? Were you hoping for a 10 point swing this week or something.

This. Also, a big part of the upside of switching is having someone who can coherently make a case for themselves and against Trump, and energize volunteers and donors. That takes time to translate to polling and votes, but we’ve seen that those elements are in play.

Just watched Bidens speech tonight. It was fine, but hoo boy did it make it very clear how much better Kamala can campaign against Trump than Biden. We dodged a bull…err shard of glass with Biden dropping out and giving us some hope.

I was expecting relief that Biden was gone, not actual excitement about Kamala.
Sweet Summer Child and all that, but if the under 30 crowd actually shows up, an Obama 08 style beatdown is not impossible.

Counterpoint: post-convention, the convention party, conventionally, gets a convention bounce that typically fades to a degree in a week or two, but that can also yield some enduring change. Kamala has sabotaged the shit out of that, and she may still get a convention bump of her own.

I don’t think anyone banking on a great outcome it’s just now it’s in realm of possible outcomes. It sure feels like Biden’s ceiling outcome is Harris floor outcome. So if things stagnate still going to lose, but her ceiling is just so much higher
