2024 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION: Debate Night - Walz vs Weirdo

I think it’s on a break for a couple more weeks.

Welp. I was hoping they’d be on air sooner. Research shows people are more ignorant about the news after watching Fox News or MSNBC than not watching any news at all, but the same research shows that the most informed people watch The Daily Show.

Guys, relax, the deep state got this.

Yeah, it’s back on July 21.

Quite the chaotic 3 weeks they’re missing.

PS - If you want to get really depressed, look at the ages of the ranking Dems who have so much influence on this decision.

Yeah it’s the Del Boca Vista condo board election.

Jack klompus is probably 20 years younger than Biden

Over 25 years younger, if we’re going by the age of the actor at the time of the first appearance.

Normal working person losing job due to the campaign’s shenanigans is fucked up

The Philadelphia radio station WURD has parted ways with a host who interviewed President Biden on Wednesday using questions provided to her by the Biden campaign, after the station said the interview violated its journalistic independence.

WURD said in a statement on Sunday that “agreeing to a predetermined set of questions jeopardizes” its listeners’ trust. The host, Andrea Lawful-Sanders, resigned in a mutual agreement, according to WURD.

That’s not an interview and pretending it is is journalistic malpractice

Reminder that Biden absolutely should not resign the presidency because

  • replacement VP must be approved by both houses and House Rs will probably block anyone
  • then Dems lose Senate tiebreaker for the term

Sure I’m not saying it’s wrong she got fired but still think is shitty situation given the power differential between herself and a presidential campaign.

:harold:

The value of the 51-49 Senate tiebreaker between now and January does not seem like it should be much of a factor in determining whether Biden resigning is optimal.

But having VP open means speaker up next right which feels like not a great fact to be hanging in some MAGA rotted minds

Yes also a factor, but if you get to a point where you determine that resigning is definitely optimal, I wouldn’t consider either of those to be blockers.

What if a supreme court justice dies this year?

I am sure there are some scenarios where a 2 vote margin in the Senate results in a better outcome than a 1 vote margin, but not clear to me that it’s significant.
