Fuck all of these people. Hairball the only one whose said he’d take a pay cut to pay the players who are getting ripped off, so that makes him #1 in my book. I hope they openly and brazenly cheat their CFP opponents. Connor needs to be at the SECCG.

I get why Georgia is #1 but Michigan’s resume is clearly better.

I need Connor to be in Atlanta this weekend with his film crew. Also, can’t remember if I posted it in this thread but College Football 3.0 has predictably arrived:

Paying high school kids $1M is the dumbest fucking idea ever. The play was always tamper through the portal and pay top dollar for the best free agents who have proven themselves. Could easily see this turning into bidding wars with all of the money going to just a few players and being a huge disaster.

The thing is $1M is crazy low for a top-flight QB at an ambitious P5 school. How are the TAMU boosters not immediately offering $2.5M (or more) after seeing this tweet? Here are the revenue share estimates from the 2020 NBER paper:

That’s the average counterfactual compensation with professional league-matched revenue share across all of CFB. Cliffs: Bump it at least another 25% for the top programs / conferences multiplier. But it’s more complicated than this b/c the NIL boosters aren’t going to fairly compensate everyone across the board–they’re going to bid up the scarcest resources like star QBs. Wouldn’t surprise me if $5M was the going rate.

Ok never mind I think I want the second spot right now, as there’s a better chance we play FSU

Longer worse cheating is a self-own?

(I have no clue what’s going on in this clip, but whatever the logic of the bit, it doesn’t work)

FSU should absolutely not be in the conversation to make the CFP. Their draw should be to a UM or UT loss only and even then it’s sketch.

You can’t leave out an undefeated power 5 champ in the current system regardless of injuries. Ohio st winning the title with their 3rd string qb made this a thing.

Yes they can. They can do anything they want. It’s a fake criteria invitational tournament with Calvinball rules.

Yeah but they’re never going to

Right because these are feeble minds whose level of sophistication tops out at sort_by_losses. That’s the point I’m making. This is a clear and obvious situation where it doesn’t work but they are 2D people looking at a 4D map.

Florida State to Make 2023-24 College Football Playoff

Yes -134 (57%)

Florida State to win the National Championship

+3500 (< 3%)

“We need to put that team in one of the three biggest games of the year!”

Doesn’t matter. 13-0 gets in 100%

It’s literally stalions giving portnoy intel

Throwing out a season of results because a teams QB got hurt is absurd

Lol nothing is being thrown out. All of the games counted but this isn’t the NFL.
