historically israel’s biggest problem at their attempts at genocide has been international backlash to gruesome/horrible headlines coming out of there. I wouldn’t expect any reporting at all to what’s going on there. The palestinians get to inflate their death numbers (probably by not much though) and the israeli govt gets to claim plausible deniability. “win win.”
All it takes is a few more million AIPAC dollars to Uncle Brandon and we’re back in the black.

Like beyond the humanitarian crisis and the moral failures that are evident on both sides of this conflict, the entire world basically shrugging its shoulders and taking a complex conflict and boiling it down to tropes and one size fits all good guys versus bad guys is so frustrating as it pertains to the hopes of ever finding a peaceful solution, or ever solving any complex problem of any significance.

I certainly hope this doesn’t apply to anyone here, but anybody who thinks “this is happening to them because of Israel’s actions” needs to understand that the same logic is being applied to the people in Gaza.
The only possible way any of this gets better is with extremely strong and coordinated international action. So in other words it’s not going to get any better.

IIRC Ukraine for example never really officially reported military deaths and would just provide civilian I assume to keep up morale. But in this case seems most advantageous for Hamas to report the largest death totals possible to influence other country view on the war?
