This is pretty funny. I kind of think it’s too much regulation, given that the “victims” of the “rampant crime” don’t want it. That said, it’s pretty funny seeing the corporations who have been complaining about retail theft suddenly downplay it when a proposal to stop it requires them to spend more money.
It’s pretty obvious to me that they are losing less in additional theft than they would pay extra employees, and what they really want is taxpayer subsided security (more cops).
