I notice that if I play a youtube video in a thread and then scroll down the thread my window will be yanked up and the youtube will start playing again 10 or 20 seconds after it stops. I don’t know that I’ve figure out how to make it stop, I usually end up leaving the thread.

I think it just puts a button on your phone’s home screen that links to the home page. It still runs in a browser.

I think this is a Progressive Web App:
Lots of websites support this (and I guess Discourse does by default), where you can “install” a website as an “app” so that it looks like a separate app on your device (instead of just being something you navigate to in your browser), even though it ultimately just opens a browser window to that site. I can’t imagine anyone actually wants to use SPE this way, so unless someone tells me otherwise I will try the fix here and see if that makes the banner go away.

Hey @admin did something change with the custom reactions? I seem to only be able to do old-school hearts right now. When I hover over the heart, I used to see a tiny popover with the options, but now hovering doesn’t trigger that popover and I just see a tooltip that says “Like this post”.
(Desktop Firefox on Windows if that makes any difference.)

Do you see any different behavior in different browsers (Chrome?) or on mobile? What if you open a private browser window (disables extensions) and log in there?

We actually have Windows XP running a few of the instruments in our lab. I still play 3D Space Cadet Pinball sometimes when I’m waiting.

Okay, sorry all, some kind of false alarm. It’s working perfectly for me now and all I did was close all my windows and go away for a while, then try it again.
I should have listened to the half-formed thought in the back of my head that maybe I should poke around and do some troubleshooting before posting…
Oh well, now I know how to farm for some reactions!
