Getting stuck on the loading screen again, using chrome on an iPhone using my cellular network (Verizon). Was able to get on using safari so maybe a chrome issue?
Given recent performance issues, which seem plausibly related to site growth, as well as my discovery that we’re using all the memory on the potato this site was running on, I’ve upgraded the site to a fancier potato with more memory. Hopefully this improves performance.
Also TIL changing the instance type changes its public IP, requiring DNS updates. The more you know! The DNS change seemed to take effect for me immediately but I think those can take some time to propagate around the interwebz, so if anyone has trouble accessing the site in the next few hours, that might be why.

What theme + browser is that? I’ll see if I can reproduce, but as a first step, try clearing your browser cache + SPE cookies and see if that helps.
Firefox mobile and Solarized Light.

Clearing cache last night didn’t work, but when I opened it this morning, it looks normal again.

I see this intermittently: when I click on a thread title to read unread posts, when I get into the thread, the “slider” on the right shows a completely wrong position in the thread, even though I’m shown the correct new post.
Example:
It’s not a problem, since I’m actually getting navigated to the right place, but it’s kind of strange. I didn’t notice this before the recent update, but I’m not positive it wasn’t doing it earlier.
I’ve also seen it once on mobile, but don’t have a screenshot. Desktop screenshot above is Windows/Firefox for what it’s worth.

Yeah, I get left in the wrong place because the tweeties are loading and have to navigate to the end and back up to the last unread post. Small price to pay to scroll past 100 poles that don’t mean anything…

Just hit the “back” option that opens up on teh scroll bar and it’ll jump you back to the correct location.

I keep randomly getting logged out
I’m still having issues accessing the site from chrome.
I haven’t had any issues lately. Things went back tok normal since I last posted itt.
