I have a cousin from PR, her parents lost their homes in the storm and she might be the biggest Trumper I know. Like she told me she never wants to see me or speak to me again because I’m liberal lol… You never know.

Oof. That’s pretty over the top stupid. Gotta love someone who fucks around, finds out, and fucks around two hours later. Those are the people who I decline to help when they fall down though.

big “We got him” energy

To be fair he does totally confess to the knowledge element of the crime there.

I mean, he’s dead to rights even without this clip, but he’s also unlikely to face consequences even if convicted, so, iunno

Still, it’s better to have more stuff to exhaust the jury with how obviously guilty the defendant is.

Eli5 me on the hush money crime. Surely it’s legal to pay someone to keep their mouth shut about something but I assume there was some kind of illegal way it was accounted for?

it’s legal to pay the money in the general sense BUT you can’t use campaign funds for that purpose and he filed false records about the payments

Jury count down from 7 to 6.

From CNN:

Seated jury down to 6 after juror said aspects of her identity was made public

A juror sworn onto Trump’s jury panel Tuesday was dismissed Thursday morning after expressing concerns over her identity made public by the media.

Who would have thought that releasing a ton of information about all the jurors would lead people to figure out their identities?

You think Trump paid for something with his own money?

I’m not that silly. Yeah if its campaign funds that seems like a problem for sure. So, sternly worded letter and a promise to never do it again.

And the shocked Pikachus continue:

I guess intimidating witnesses actually does work

They should be getting phone records/emails of everyone at Fox News and the like. Gotta be communication. @ssc

We got him!

This whole saga since Trump became president just really showing a president being a criminal just really isn’t something that our governmental/legal system is built to address

“Man, was he good,” the juror said describing Blanche’s questioning. But, he said the prosecution ran out of time and did not question him.

In the jury room, he and other potential jurors discussed how it seemed as if the district attorneys’ attorneys had mismanaged their time.

Bullish!
