The Convictions of Donald J. Trump: lol

He’s a GOOD CONVINCTED CRIMINAL! You can trust his testimony but not LIAR MICHAEL COHEN!

We have Trump Bot, so I guess that would describe us too to some extent.

Juror 2 confirmed to be a problem, gjge

yeah, i mean not only does Juror 2 have truth social, it’s literally truth social, twitter, and nothing else. Fox News too woke for Juror 2 apparently.

If there’s a hung jury that means the prosecution can demand another trial right? Because it seems to me that keeping Trump tied down in court from now until he finally dies is a worthwhile goal, particularly for a case that I honestly doubt was going to result in jail time even if he was convicted.

There’s simply no way for a winning message to ever come out of Trump in a court room. The news story for today is that he’s asleep and farting constantly. This is a guy who has managed to keep the cult going through an awful lot of stage management. He’s just going to be hanging out in that court being his normal minute to minute odious monster of a self.

I’m not suggesting that it’s going to really impact his cult members, their feed will handle the stage management for Trump, but everyone who isn’t a full zombie is going to see how they see Trump get worse.

Hung jury=TOTAL EXONERATION

That’s just science.

Judge has ruled, everything is fine! Company has to retain full control over the account and post monthly statements. Looking forward to what happens when there’s no account with $175M in it.

Probably a filing raising the question of what does it even mean to have money in an account anyway

Who’s ready for a STERN WARNING? It’s amazing how little self respect these fucking judges have. They absolutely love using their power to humiliate and subjugate poor people and minorities but curl up into a ball in terror when being openly cucked by Donald Trump. This is like the 50th judge who has chosen to do absolutely nothing.

“Judge Merchan is going to do everything possible to give him as much leeway as possible to cure the situation and be a better defendant,” said Diana Florence, a former Manhattan prosecutor.

GOOD LUCK WITH THAT

One thing I love about DJT is that he has done an absolutely amazing job of providing colorful examples of how fucking broken our system is. The man is extremely publicly a moron, shitting on himself, and probably totally untouchable… all because he’s part of the class of people that this country is run for. It is so overwhelmingly important that these people not have any reason to fear any kind of consequences that they are willing to wipe their asses with meritocracy, justice, and basic common sense to make sure the precedent set is that nothing they could ever do would be enough to cause real consequences.

All JFK had to do to get shot in the head was double cross some admittedly very powerful gangsters and/or piss off the CIA (I’m sure about the mafia part the guy who shot Oswald was heavily mob connected as was the guy who shot him and to me that’s taking credit).Trump makes it very very clear that since the corporate era kicked off in the late 70’s our overlords have systematically removed every single official or unofficial organ of the state that could actually prevent them from doing whatever they feel like doing.

I think everyone getting a very visible demonstration of how little power we collectively have to prevent these people from doing the first 5 minutes of a law and order SVU episode every morning before breakfast, stealing in public in front of everyone, and totally ignoring the hall monitors passing for a judicial system while doing all of it.

99% of people wont pay attention on a level to realize that the system is so broken that the powerful can do whatever they want whenever they want with no consequences. Between a third and half of the country thinks the part that’s broken is the part that’s prosecuting Trump.

Oh my god!

Somebody needs to go to jail for violating the order. Time for a traditional solution:

A whipping boy was a boy educated alongside a prince (or boy monarch) in early modern Europe, who supposedly received corporal punishment for the prince’s transgressions in his presence. The prince was not punished himself because his royal status exceeded that of his tutor; seeing a friend punished would provide an equivalent motivation not to repeat the offence.

I like this idea. It won’t stop him or anything, but at least we could watch Vivek Ramaswamy get the shit kicked out of him.

Couple things…I think pretty much everyone intuitively understands that rich white dudes don’t really face consequences so this won’t move the needle.

Second thing is that we are seeing that the entire legal system is predicated on the participants respecting and showing deference to the judge. The fun part is that it turns out it’s just pageantry and there is no actual consequence (unless you are poor/brown) for lawyers and defendants telling the judge to suck your lil mushroom until you are blue in the face.

I think folks over generalizing, I don’t think Elon Musk for example would get the same legal deference as Trump. I think judges are making legitimate harm/risk reduction calculations in their head about if an armed rebellion is going to result from their actions

Yeah it’s not going to stop until they jail him. If they aren’t going to jail him they should shut up already.
