Joe Biden was good for a few gaffes per presidential run when he was 46 and 66, no chance he messes up now!
By the way, just realized that if he wins and survives, he’ll be the president 40 years after he launched his first presidential campaign - June 9, 2027 is the anniversary. Now there’s a record that’ll stand the test of time.

Edit. In case it’s not obvious, that was in reference to the Super Bowl.

Seems like a bad take. The Trump cult is not the fault of Democrat politicians

I guess Biden winning in 2020 doesn’t count as a “successful campaign.”

Biden both won and is to the left of Obama in 2008 and 2012

I guess you could call barely beating a twice impeached sitting insurrectionist a successful campaign.

What else would you call it? I mean he flipped GA. Biden played it just fine by hunkering down and playing it safe imo

And now he’s going to get waffle stomped
I think winning the presidency as a presidential candidate is a successful campaign

Was wondering about this and… this never seemed to have actually happened?

He called himself a “transitional president” but you’re right, never committed to not running again. If he had done so he instantly would have been a lame duck.
This discussion reminds of 2016 when people were ridiculed on 2+2 who dared to question whether Clinton was a good candidate.

he never said it but he absolutely had surrogates strongly implying it was the plan

No possible candidate was going to “crush” Trump in 2020, if that’s your yardstick for success.
Didn’t they just hit Kyiv with a hypersonic missile? Could be a hypersonic nuclear capability that we cannot defend against.
