Wookie's Walrus Wreveal

I had boyz in the hood

This is mine and another one where I thought this could end up anywhere. I am quite happy with the results so far although in a at least one category it does not bode well for me how much weight you give category fit.

Mine. Figured it wouldn’t place well, but I love it.

I’m pretty happy with my start because they were the two submissions where I wasn’t super confident how they would place. Pretty certain I crushed the last four categories, which means there’s plenty of :harold: incoming.

This is my very first Walrus and I am enjoying it immensely. Based on my performance to date, my Walrus walk up song is Middle of The Road by the Pretenders.

Alright, let’s reveal our next category.

A song with at least one line in French. Caveat: I do not speak more than a few words in French. I may or may not look up a translation of the lyrics, so you should ensure I at least like the sound of the song. I do enjoy music in foreign languages, though, even if I don’t know the words.

As always, you know where you can put your posts of beefs, boasts, and volatility.

Our first song will be the first of two songs in this category that sheeped. My notes on first listen were “Meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh.” Just not feeling this one, even if I like a fair bit of the work from this group. Two people submitted:

Our second song is our second sheep, and also features a song I don’t really like from a band I generally do. Looking at the history of the song, it looks like it literally was written by taking the first thing that came to mind and translating it to French, and then adding a simple melody. It certainly sounds that way.

The Beatles - Michelle

So if you’re tied for 3rd to last, but earn 3.5 points, is it or isn’t it a nodium?

lol, there i am.

If a tree falls in the forest…

I really like both these songs and neither even crossed my mind for this. Weird.

Our first non-sheep has a pleasant feel, and is entirely in French, but it doesn’t really go anywhere? I love the sorta tropical, samba feel, but I need more bass to kick in or something. Repetitive electronic music like this has got to make me want to dance for me to be engaged, and this is more like background music.
