The answer for why is probably more complicated than ā€œthe mls started in the 90sā€. Iirc there was some epic mismanagement in the 30s that really fucked things up

I logged in on my phone (in a browser because lolapple doesnā€™t make an Android app) and it says being a subscriber makes it like $13/mo instead of $15 or $40 for the rest of the season instead of $50.
