Worse stuff happens in the NBA and guys will get a small suspension out of it, not really a big deal imo
If opposing teams just let Clark dominate for a year or two it probably at least doubles everyone future earnings right?

If the NBA players just let the Celtics, Knicks, and Lakers win every year, they’d totally make more money right?

Their salaries are all about to go up exponentially either way. No way people competitive enough to be in the only 144 women in the world to make the WNBA are ever letting someone just dominate without earning it.
Not saying they would actually do it but given how horrible the salaries are it would make a lot of sense. Kind of like Olympic wrestlers joining WWE or something. Gotta pay the bills
There’s a new tv deal coming up that will drastically increase their salaries anyway. This would have happened with or without Caitlin Clark, but people are going to credit her without knowing the real story. First time they will receive the revenue from their own tv rights rather than having it thrown in by the NBA into its deal with zero revenue going to wnba for televised games.

Barkley came out and said something about it, though I guess he’s probably just playing his role as the kindhearted subvert.
I’m also not a fan of some of the hard fouls I’ve been seeing from star players in the NBA. Yeah, Laimbeer and guys like that were celebrated in past times but they had way less power and influence than modern day players.
Maybe it’s gotten better (I still remember that brutal foul by Metta World Peace lol) but it’s hard to know when you have guys like Green choking out players and then making light of it on a podcast/broadcast.
