Now saying it hit a curb, jumped a barrier and exploded on impact- so a chance it was not a bomb?
I’m no expert, but seems odd for a car to just blow up like that.
Only minor injuries to one person besides the people in the car, thank goodness. Maybe a bomb that exploded at the wrong time?
my understanding is that car explosions are more of a movie/tv thing than real life.
If hypothetically not a bomb would an electric or gas powered car be more able to straight up explode in a wreck?

I would imagine the difference between a car’s gas tank somehow exploding and a car bomb consisting of a couple hundred pounds of explosive should be pretty obvious.
There is CCTV footage of the car hitting something and going airborne.

Cars don’t usually explode, you’re right. Everything about cars are designed not to explode. They absolutely can catch on fire and burn to a crisp, but they usually don’t explode.
