The Non-political ANGER THREAD

I had the AC on last night. I’m sure everything will be just fine.

local burger place won’t take pickup orders over the phone, you have to use their website, and of course this makes anything nonstandard extremely difficult (last time my wife put “no butter on bun” in the special instructions and they gave her… NO BUN). New wrinkle this time, you only get four options for tip - 15, 18, 20, or 22%, and you have to pick one of them, there’s no way to opt out. Now I am a pretty big tipper in general, even for to go orders, but the idea that I’m forced to tip is sending my lawnmower into orbit (it also wouldn’t surprise me if the owner just keeps the tips)

I would just never go to this place.

that’s basically what’s about to happen

I would maybe let the owner know, it could be a mistake the web designer made or something. Cause that’s pretty crazy on takeout. I was forced to tip 18% on takeout once at a casino place, and I only went through with it because I was paying in comps (so only the tip was in cash). If all you’re doing it is packing it in the boxes and putting it in a bag, I usually leave $5. That seems reasonable for a minute or two of work. During COVID I would tip more because of the whole “help your local service industry workers” thing.

Best part, and really should have led to a post in here. 18% tip on a steakhouse takeout order and they forgot the silverware and one of the sides. We’re talking like a $35 tip and they couldn’t manage to get two steaks, two sides, a dessert, and silverware for two people into a takeout bag without fucking it up.

7 fucking minutes notice for a noon lunch… FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUU!!!

Acceptable if

A. It’s a nooner with someone you’d like to have a nooner with

B. Someone else is paying and it’s one of your favorite places and there is no gotcha of having to deal with that asshole that sits 3 cubes over but you can still here every phone call (both sides cause they gotta put everything on speaker).

So how was lunch?

WTF? I start planning my lunches and sending texts at 9 am.

It was Factor, nothing to write home about.

I wasn’t clear, the meeting was not a Lunch meeting, it was at noon, which is normal people’s lunch time. I have 6 afuckingm meetings so I have lunch around 10:30. I missed the meeting because I don’t check my mail that often during the day.

I used to do this and would get called into meetings during my early as fuck lunches and they’d ask “why is it your lunch right now?”

Because HR insists we take our lunch before we hit 5 hours of work you assholes.

As a non-breakfast eater ~11 AM is the perfect lunch time for me.

I may have to get a new phone number because of fucking Democrats, they won’t stop texting me. If their strategy is to work their base into a rage AT THEM, then it’s working. Literally every day. I opt out of all of it and there’s always another one.

I will never donate another dollar to these assholes, this is what I get for donating in the 2018/20 cycles: daily harassment.

god fuck these shitheads

all of the texts are coming from the same system, they all have the same auto-boilerplate shit when you “unsubscribe” (lol), they just spam you from a different number. If you contact actblue they actdumb and blame the candidates/campaigns even though they are 100% the culprit here, honestly if trump does win and he really does start going on purges he goddamn better get whatever fucking shitlib is running this system

My wife once volunteered for Beto. Somehow the DNC found out my number was on the same account, so I constantly get these texts too, addressed to her.

zoom sucks but then you get on a teams meeting and you’re like “wow zoom is great” and THEN you get on a webex meeting and you’re like “wow teams is amazing”

My sister sent me this text like 2 hrs ago. She is extremely liberal but not terribly politically engaged. Reliable dem voter in every election though.

Blockquote
If the Democratic Party does not stop, spamming my phone, I’m going to freak out. They are going to push their voters away by being so annoying and disruptive with the burden of text messages.
